Outlook Web App Instructions
Outlook Web Application allows you to access your e-mail from a web browser when you are outside of our network setting. This application will not work within the KDOA Network, if you are in the office, plese use the application installed on your workstation/laptop.

First Time Use of Outlook Web App:
If this is the first time that you will be accessing the Outlook Web App, there is an install that will take place. Please note that this does take some time.

- Click on the Outlook Web App button on the Intranet Web Site or the Provider Information Resource Web Site.
Direct link is "https://owa.aging.ks.gov/owa. Notice that the URL is https not http. - Will try to install Microsoft Forefront Add-on component. You will need to follow the instructions on the screen which may vary due to the computer and browser being used.
- If an install message displays, click on OK.
- The install will proceed.
- If a message displays regarding pop-ups being allowed for the site, click on "yes".
- If a Security Alert displays requesing "Trust this site" options, select "Always" then click on "Trust".
- At times a Mobile Access Portal message may display stating that "Your device does not meet access policy requirements for this site." Simply close the window and click on the Outlook Web App button again.
- The Outlook Web App Sign in page will display.

Here's an explanation of the different options you'll see on the main login page.
Security (show explanation):
Clicking on show explanation will show explanations for the options of specifying whether you are using a public or private computer.
This is a public computer:
Select this option if you use Outlook Web App on a public computer. Be sure to sign out when you've finished and close all windows to end your session.
This is a private computer:
Select this option if you're the only person who uses this computer.

How to log onto the Outlook Web App:
- Click on the Outlook Web App button on the Intranet Web Site or the Provider Information Resource Web Site.
Direct link is "https://owa.aging.ks.gov/owa. Notice that the URL is https not http. - Enter your username (same as your computer/network signin name)
- Enter your computer/network password. Outlook password will now always be in sync with your computer/network password.
- Click Sign In.
The Outlook Web App Inbox:

You can now check your messages, contacts, calendar, and tasks among other things. You won't see any custom folders you may have created, and any e-mail rules you may have set up won't work in OWA. When you are done, make sure to sign out.
